I formed DPM (Design Project Management) Services in 2009. Based in Ashby De La Zouch, Leicestershire, I started covering the Midlands area, but now cover most of the UK and presently looking at opportunities in Central Europe and the Middle East.

I have over 30 years experience working in the Residential, Commercial, Educational and Retail Industries. I am an experienced man manager with excellent inter-personal skills. I am organised and well versed in prioritising workload. I understand both the Internal and external dynamics required to complete projects to a client’s expectations.

Past Employment History / Achievements:

Scottish & Newcastle plc (Heineken)

• Project Manager responsible carrying out projects in the tenancy estate, ranging from 30k – 500k

• Complete max. 25no. projects per calendar year, as well as plan works for next financial year

• Manage wide base of external consultants / contractors to complete projects

• Manage asbestos auditing of all Midlands properties on a yearly basis

• Collate drawing packages and detail cost reports for various approvals, incl. dilapidation reports

• Carry out Planned and reactive maintenance works on existing properties and acquisitions.

University of Birmingham

• Completed conversion of 3 storey Biology Building to “open plan” labs for the School of Chemistry (£1.5m)

• Completed new European Research Institute development (£9.6m)

• Completed service diversion works (£2m) to enable the construction of 5 storey Institute of Biomedical Research building

• Involved in the interior design of the IBR building through consultations between end users and design team (£26m)

• Close relationship with end users to ensure their expectations were delivered.

Allied Domecq

• Design Maintenance Manager for 120 outlets

• Various project and maintenance works carried out to a maximum value of £100k

• Responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance works.

Marston’s plc

• Project Manager /Tech. working on large Managed retail outlets including hotel refurbishments, values between £500k – £1m

• Completed 30 no. £1m+ developments and numerous smaller refurbishment schemes

• Took on the additional role of Planning Supervisor for a short period

• Obtained numerous licensing approvals for on behalf of the company.

• Project Manager / Snr. Architectural Technician working on commercial & retail schemes.

• Largest development: Metro Centre, Gateshead, UK’s first indoor shopping mall.

• Design drawings for new build “Asda” superstore

• Design drawings for factory units for English estates

• Design drawings for new build housing for Team Valley Housing Association

• Design drawings for hotel developments situated either side of the River Tyne.

• Project / Sales Manager developing bespoke exclusive private housing

• Prepared architectural drawings for residential grant improvement works
